If you’re like me you’ve bought pancake syrup from the grocery store your whole life. I was blown away when I discovered that you can make easy and delicious homemade pancake syrup at home using basic pantry staples! Making your own homemade pancake syrup comes with benefits. Try this recipe and see for yourself!
Benefits of Making Homemade Pancake Syrup
1. It’s Made with Better Ingredients
One of the benefits of making your own pancake syrup is that you have control over the ingredients. Most store-bought syrups contain corn syrup or even worse, high fructose corn syrup. They also contain preservatives, added color, and artificial flavors, all of which are not good for our bodies and negatively impact our health.
Making your syrup allows you to select high-quality ingredients. You can even use organic and grass-fed options for optimal quality. Learning how to make it homemade also allows you to use minimal ingredients without all the additives.
2. You Save Money
Making homemade syrup will save you money. Many households already have the key ingredients in their kitchen. You can make pancake syrup whenever you need to. You can also purchase the ingredients in bulk to ensure that you always have them on hand. This will also allow you to double or triple the recipe to make larger quantities at a time. This saves you money in the long run.
3. It Tastes Better
Let’s be honest, homemade usually always tastes better! Homemade pancake syrup is no different. This recipe has a full, delicious, rich flavor. The store-bought syrup doesn’t even compare to it!
Making pancake syrup requires fewer ingredients, is better for you, saves money, and tastes better. I call that a complete win and a satisfying reward for the 12 minutes it takes to make it!
