Day 5: Job 6-9
Today, I'm sharing my bible study notes from Job 6-9. So far, my study of Job has been a great reminder that God is completely sovereign. He sees the full picture. He knows things we don't. He can do things we can't, and we can trust Him completely!
Sometimes, people who live to please God experience difficult things because we live in a fallen world. Sometimes God may allow certain things to happen, or He may be silent for a period in order to teach us something. He uses these circumstances to sanctify us because He loves us.
Job recognized God's mercy in his unfortunate circumstances. Mercy means that God doesn't give us what we actually deserve. No matter what we experience, the truth of the matter is that God is still merciful. Humans born into sin with a sinful nature deserve eternal separation from a perfect, holy, and sinless God. However, in His great mercy, He sent His Son, Jesus, our Mediator, so that we can choose an eternity with Him.
This is a grace-filled space. Come as you are. Participate as life allows. If you’d like, comment below and share something that stood out to you in today’s study—your reflection may be exactly what another sister needs to read.
