Day 129: 2 Samuel 8-9, 1 Chronicles 18
In today’s passages, we see the LORD repeatedly giving David victory. All of King David’s victory and success came from God, and he knew it. King David demonstrated great character and had a heart posture of worship before the LORD. He dedicated the spoils of his victories to the LORD. He knew where his success came from. He looked for opportunities to be a blessing to others. He found Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, and invited him to eat at his table always. What a great example of the term, “Blessed to be a blessing”!
