Day 75 Deuteronomy 14-16 Chronological Bible Study Notes

 Day 75 Deuteronomy 14-16

Moses continues to give his final speech before he dies, and the Israelites occupy the Promised Land. He reviews the laws for clean and unclean food and forbids them for shaving their heads and cutting themselves for the dead, as the pagans do.

We see God’s heart for the poor. He cares for them and takes care of them through the surplus of the wealthy. The wealth of the Israelites frees them from any financial attachments to pagan nations that could result in enslavement. It is clear that God is after our hearts. He wants us to find joy in Him. He wants us to rejoice in Him.

Moses also reviews the festivals and calendars before they spread out in the land. The festivals will require them to travel to the tabernacle, which will be centrally located, so he makes the expectations clear.

The Bible Recap notes that the exodus of the Jews is what the resurrection of Jesus is to believers. It’s a special event that we remember and reflect on often, and it reminds us who we are. It always reminds us of the capability and love of the mighty God we serve!

*I was traveling on Days 70-74. I did my study, and I have bible notes for those days. Hopefully, blog posts for those days will be provided at some point, but as for now, I will focus on moving forward.
