Day 69 Numbers 35-36

Today, we conclude the book of Numbers. In these chapters, Israel is instructed to give a bit of the perimeter of their land to the Levites because they don’t inherit any land, but they need a place to stay. This land given to them is also to be used as to set up six sites for the cities of refuge. These are the places where accidental murderers can live and be safe from the avengers of blood.

We also read about a new law that was created for the daughters of Zelophehad. They were instructed to only marry men within their tribe to keep their father’s land within their tribe.

God is accessible to you. In the midst of 3 million people, God was accessible and there to give wisdom and create new laws in response to the five daughters of Zelophehad. He doesn’t just leave us to figure out the small details of our lives. He is ever-present, always with us, available and ready to help and guide us. 

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
