Day 67 Numbers 31-32

In today’s passages, Moses is instructed to kill the Midianites. These were the people whose women caused the Israelite men to fall into idolatry at the advice of Balaam. First, they didn’t kill the women, but they were instructed to do so because the women are the reason why the men fell into immorality to begin with. Only those who were virgins were allowed to live.

The tribes of Gad and Reuben, and the half-tribe of Mannaseh requested fertile land that wasn’t the Promised Land because it would meet their agricultural needs. They vowed to help Israel get to the Promised Land in order to acquire the land on the other side of the Jordan.

God is reasonable, just, and fair.
