Day 52 Leviticus 24-25
In Leviticus 24 and 25, the LORD continues to give the Israelites instructions on how to interact with each other. Not only is the Sabbath important for the people, but it is also important for the land. Every seventh year, the land was to be given a Sabbath rest. The LORD also implemented the Year of Jubilee, which occurred every 50th year. During this time, slaves were set free, and debt was cancelled. The LORD made sure that the poor were taken care of and treated kindly. He also instructed the rich to be kind, helpful, and generous with the poor and sojourners.
Today’s takeaway:
- God is an incredible provider. He knows what you need. His thoughts are not your thoughts, and His ways are not your ways. He plans ahead. He goes before you to ensure that you have what you need. All you have to do is be obedient to Him and trust Him.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
