Day 45 Leviticus 5-7
In today’s passages, we continue reading about different sacrifices and offerings. God teaches the Israelites the difference between clean and unclean (holy and profane). Being unclean isn’t a sin, but there is proper protocol regarding how they handle being unclean for a time. Today, we learn about the guilt offering, which requires restitution. Not only did they have to repay the full amount, but they also had to pay an additional 20%.
Today’s takeaway:
- God will always provide. Aaron and his sons served as priests for the LORD, which meant they did not have land and crops of their own. However, God made provision for them to be fed through portions of the offerings given. What an incredible reminder that God will always take care of you. He knows what you need, and He will make sure to take care of your needs when you seek His kingdom first.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33
